Is it too much?

Our personal belief is that there is no age at which one cannot understand scripture or utilize their mind fully. While there are limitations to what we can fully comprehend in the different stages of life, there is no reason to limit a child’s exposure to knowledge, both of scripture and academia. Most preschool curricula remove math, or justify it as a subject learned through experience, and while it is true that many things are learned from living, even at a young age, a child can begin to fall into good habits of learning. Our students can develop practices of structured learning that ultimately can be beneficial in our diligence toward studying scripture and our ability to think critically and problem solve. Our curriculum allows you to build your own program, one that best fits your family if you desire a freer, more natural learning experience or something more regimented. So while we recommend touching on all of the subjects listed above, not all are necessary, if you only teach literacy or Bible at this time, you will have taught more than enough to equip your child for future learning. Much of this information will be repeated in the Kinder program, but this will allow for a strong foundation in the Word and all it has to offer.
